PRCAN business forum explores Nigerian Economic Outlook in 2020
Nigerian Economic Outlook 2020: Imperatives for the Marketing Communication Sector would form the theme of discussions as the maiden edition of the Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN) organised public enlightenment forum holds next week, Monday, 27th January, 2020.
The business forum holding at the prestigious Lagos Continental Hotels on the Victoria Island, would be addressed by the foremost economist and business analyst, Bismarck Rewane, CEO Financial Derivatives.
The event which is an initiative of the current leadership of PRCAN is in demonstration of the association’s avowed commitment to constantly making meaningful and positive contributions to the growth and advancement of Nigeria’s marketing communications industry.
PRCAN President, Isreal Jaiye Opayemi, commenting on the initiative observed: “As businesses begin their journey into the financial year 2020, it is imperative to have a deep understanding of the macroeconomic underpinnings of the 2020 budget itself.
“So, it’s our responsibility as a professional body to ensure that our members, other players in the marketing communications space and, indeed, our clients have a clearer understanding of the macroeconomic issues that will shape the marketing communications business climate in Nigeria in the year 2020.”
He continued: “Lessons from this session may, in fact, compel some consultancies and clients alike to make adjustments to their business plans” he stated adding, “this is PRCAN’s contribution to the growth and development of marketing communications in Nigeria and we are proud to be driving this as responses from far and wide have been amazing”.
He added: “Don’t forget, our strategic goal and promise to our members and our clients in PRCAN under my leadership is #BetterBusiness. Better business begins with better planning. It is never too late to adjust a business or spending plan in January. We are hoping that the CEOs, the CFOs or Heads of Finance, Heads of Business Development of the firms playing in the sector will attend this event.”
The Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN) is a trade sectoral group for the public relations industry in Nigeria. Founded in 1984, PRCAN aggregates and articulates the interest of member firms and works to uphold best practice in public relations in Nigeria in the areas of standards, conduct as well as economic well-being for the public relations industry generally and public relations consulting in particular for the benefit of all stakeholders.
