Terragon attains global ISO certification
Terragon Group, a data and marketing technology company, has announced that it has received ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. The credential is an international standard outlining best practices for information security management systems.
The Group noted that compliance with the standard was a clear indication of its ongoing commitment to keeping client and user data private and secure. The Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB), an IAS accredited certification body, led the process.
According to the CEO and co-founder, Elo Umeh, “The importance of data security cannot be overemphasised. Being key players in the technology and Africa’s leading data analytics and marketing cloud provider underscored how important how important it was for us to be ISO 27001 certified. The certification will help improve our internal processes and quality of service delivery to our customers.”
He said the certification demonstrates the Group’s commitment to the highest standards of data protection and information security. It was also revealed that the group underwent rigorous PECB testing and assessment to validate compliance with the standard. An annual surveillance audit and a triennial re-certification audit will be required to give Terragon’s clients and business partners the reassurance that their data is protected.
