Adekoye Abiola, Managing Partner and Founder of Imaginarium Marketing Communications, is a marketing and communications professional whose work sits at the intersection of strategy, brand communication, consumer engagement and emerging opportunities.
With experience spanning across marketing communications and commercial initiatives. Abiola has built Imaginarium into a platform for developing ideas and creating conversations around issues with business and societal relevance. The agency has worked with major clients across Nigeria and Africa, while also developing platforms that connect brands with emerging opportunities.
Abiola is also a Vice President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), reflecting his active involvement in the development of the advertising and marketing communications industry. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Marketing, the International Advertising Association and the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria.
Beyond conventional agency work, Abiola has demonstrated an interest in using communication to shape perceptions around emerging sectors. He was the convener of the EV Nigeria Expo and Conference, a platform created to bring together policymakers, investors, manufacturers, industry professionals and consumers around the future of electric mobility in Nigeria.
Speaking ahead of the 2025 edition, Abiola identified belief and perception as critical to the adoption of electric vehicles, arguing that innovation must be made tangible and relevant to consumers. His approach positioned communication not simply as a tool for awareness, but as a means of changing perceptions and encouraging action.
This perspective is particularly relevant to the MARKETING EDGE 2026 National Marketing Stakeholders’ Summit, themed “Cultural Authenticity as Currency: Turning Heritage into Modern Branding and Marketing.”
As brands increasingly seek meaningful ways to connect with audiences, cultural understanding has become central to creating communication that feels authentic rather than manufactured. Abiola’s experience in translating complex ideas into compelling narratives and platforms offers a practical perspective on how brands can build relevance while responding to changing consumer expectations.
His recent work through Imaginarium has also placed emphasis on human-centred storytelling. At the 2026 Imaginarium Impact Media Mixer, Abiola challenged communicators to move beyond organisational messaging and focus on people, measurable change and evidence when telling development stories.
At the MARKETING EDGE 2026 National Marketing Stakeholders’ Summit, Abiola brings an agency and industry perspective to the conversation on how brands can transform cultural understanding into meaningful communication, stronger audience connections and lasting value.
