Behind every enduring brand platform is a team of people united by a shared purpose. At Three Crowns Milk, the remarkable success of the Mum of the Year initiative is not the achievement of one individual or one department alone.
Rather, it reflects the collective commitment of a resilient organisation, where leadership, marketing, commercial teams, consumer engagement specialists, agency partners and numerous professionals have worked in harmony to transform a simple brand idea into one of Nigeria’s most impactful family-centred initiatives.

Yet, every successful movement requires visionary leadership. At the heart of this sustained success stands the brand’s marketing leadership, with Marketing Director, Maureen Ifada, and Marketing Manager, Chioma Otisi-Igwe, leading a passionate marketing team whose strategic thinking, creativity and unwavering commitment have continued to translate the brand’s purpose into meaningful experiences that touch lives across the country.

So, working alongside colleagues across the organisation, the team has consistently demonstrated that great marketing is measured not merely by market share or campaign visibility, but by the lasting impact it creates in people’s lives.
Consequently, even as economic headwinds continue to force many organisations to reduce consumer-focused investments, the Three Crowns team has remained steadfast, choosing instead to strengthen a platform that celebrates mothers, uplifts families and inspires communities across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
However, over the years, that shared commitment has elevated the Three Crowns Mum of the Year initiative far beyond a promotional campaign.
Instead, it has evolved into a national platform that restores dignity to motherhood, rewards sacrifice, celebrates resilience and gives ordinary Nigerian mothers extraordinary moments of recognition.

Meanwhile, this enduring commitment came alive once again at the grand finale of the 2026 edition, where every detail reflected thoughtful planning, emotional storytelling and meticulous brand execution.
Long before the announcement of the winners, the atmosphere itself communicated a powerful message that mothers deserve not only appreciation but honour.
From the entrance into the venue, guests stepped into an experience carefully curated to celebrate motherhood in all its beauty. Dressed in the brand’s vibrant golden yellow identity, the venue radiated warmth, nourishment, optimism and joy. The colour palette immediately reinforced the brand’s promise of healthy living while creating an ambience that felt both festive and deeply emotional.
One of the most captivating attractions was the magnificent royal throne, elegantly positioned beneath breathtaking floral installations. Reserved exclusively for mothers, the beautifully crafted golden chair transformed every woman who sat upon it into royalty.
It became more than a photo opportunity; it became a powerful symbol that every mother deserves to be treated like a queen. Surrounding the throne were elaborate arrangements of red, yellow, white and cream flowers, carefully designed to create an atmosphere of elegance, warmth and celebration.

Impressively, towering floral arches welcomed guests into the experience, while colourful blossoms lined the red carpet, turning every walk into a royal procession.
Across the venue, beautifully designed experiential corners reinforced the campaign’s philosophy. Inspirational messages encouraged mothers to “Relax,” “Connect” and “Get Nourished,” reminding families that maternal wellbeing extends beyond nutrition to emotional health, rest and meaningful relationships.
Moreover, every installation reflected deliberate consumer insight, inviting guests not only to observe the brand but to become part of its story. The walls themselves became storytellers. Decorative golden crowns adorned the backdrop, while expressions of gratitude to mothers appeared in different Nigerian languages, including “Nagode Mama,” “Daalu Nne’m,” “Ẹ ṣe Mama” and “Thank You Mum.” These thoughtful cultural expressions demonstrated the platform’s inclusiveness, acknowledging mothers from every part of Nigeria and reinforcing its truly national identity.
Beyond the aesthetics, the event itself unfolded like a carefully choreographed theatrical production. Rather than merely introducing contestants, the organisers recreated the personal journeys of the finalists through drama, music, dance and emotional storytelling.
Every performance celebrated the resilience, sacrifices and quiet strength that define motherhood, allowing audiences to connect deeply with each woman’s story.
The platform’s national reach equally reflected the strategic thinking behind the initiative.
According to Marketing Director Maureen Ifada, participation commenced with consumers purchasing products worth ₦5,000 before nominating deserving mothers from across Nigeria. Entries were received from all six geopolitical zones, followed by a rigorous screening process that produced a Top 10. Public voting through social media platforms then determined the finalists before the eventual Top Six emerged for the grand finale.

The transparent selection process strengthened public confidence while deepening nationwide participation and consumer engagement. Ultimately, Olaide Adesina emerged as the 2026 Three Crowns Mum of the Year, while Omotola Ade-Onojobi and Hajara Omoniyi finished as first and second runners up respectively.
Together with two members of their families, the three winners received an all-expense-paid trip to Zanzibar, shopping vouchers and a one-year supply of Three Crowns Milk.
The remaining finalists also went home with double-door refrigerators, cash prizes and product supplies, ensuring that every finalist left celebrated. Yet, perhaps the initiative’s greatest achievement lies beyond the prizes.

For many participating mothers, the platform offered something far more enduring than material rewards.
Women who had spent years quietly nurturing families suddenly found themselves celebrated before national audiences.
Mothers who had placed everyone else before themselves became the centre of attention. Ordinary women became queens, role models and celebrities, if only for a day, while their families watched with immense pride.
Reflecting on the vision behind the initiative, Marketing Director Maureen Ifada explained that the competition remains rooted in the brand’s purpose of caring for mothers because mothers remain the foundation of every home and, ultimately, the nation itself.
She noted that nurturing mothers strengthens families, while stronger families build healthier societies. For that reason, she affirmed, the initiative will continue to grow, becoming even bigger in future editions.

Marketing Manager Chioma Otisi-Igwe echoed that commitment, describing the platform as one deliberately created to recognise mothers while supporting their nutritional, emotional and overall wellbeing.
She reaffirmed the team’s resolve to sustain the initiative, ensuring that even more mothers experience the joy of being celebrated in the years ahead.
Perhaps that explains why the Three Crowns Mum of the Year platform has continued to flourish.
While many experiential campaigns disappear after only a few editions, this initiative has continued to expand, refine its execution and deepen its emotional connection with Nigerian families.
Each edition introduces richer experiences, broader participation and even more meaningful rewards, reflecting the unwavering commitment of the professionals who continue to nurture the platform.
Indeed, sustaining such a large-scale initiative in today’s challenging economic climate demands more than marketing expertise. It requires conviction, courage, long-term vision and an unwavering belief that purpose remains one of the most valuable assets any brand can possess.
That belief has become the defining strength of the Three Crowns team. Rather than allowing economic uncertainty to diminish their ambition, they have consistently chosen to invest in people, strengthen family values and create experiences that leave lasting emotional memories. In doing so, they have demonstrated that the most powerful marketing campaigns are those that improve lives, inspire hope and create genuine human connections.
Years from now, many of the mothers may not remember every detail of the prizes they received. However, they will certainly remember walking confidently along the red carpet.
They will remember sitting proudly on a throne reserved for queens. They will remember the applause, the smiles, the flowers and the overwhelming feeling of being appreciated.
Above all, they will remember that an extraordinary team of dedicated professionals chose to celebrate the women whose everyday sacrifices often go unnoticed.
And through that shared commitment, the Three Crowns team has not only built a successful marketing platform but also created a lasting national movement that continues to honour motherhood, strengthen families and redefine what purpose-driven marketing truly looks like.
