Lanre Adisa’s Labule restaurant opens new outlet at Lekki

Labule, a Nigeria-centric restaurant, operated by Roots Foods Limited, a company owned by Lanre Adisa, CEO at Noah’s Ark and his wife, Binta Adisa, has opened a new outlet on Admiralty Road in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

The Lekki outlet, which is the second since the restaurant brand debuted more than three years ago in Ogudu GRA, was officially declared open on Saturday November 11, 2017, by veteran Broadcaster, Bimbo Oloyede, formerly of NTA network and Channels TV.

Veteran adman Lanre Adisa, who is the Chairman of Roots Foods Limited, was also present at the ceremony.

Labule which offers a wide variety of local Nigerian delicacies, mainly from the South West and South South is not just a regular restaurant. The business is operated in a unique environment that celebrates lifestyle and the richness of the Nigerian culture. It combines the setting of a modern quick service restaurant with the essence of a local Nigerian ‘buka’.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new outlet, the Mrs. Binta Adisa, Managing Director/Chief Chef of Roots Foods Limited, disclosed that the decision to open the new outlet in Lekki was a response to an increasing demand for its services by customers living and working around the Lekki/Ikoyi axis of Lagos.

According to the company, the brand name, Labule, is coined from a Yoruba phrase, which means ‘In the village’. The Idea of the business was conceptualized with the sole aim of catering to Nigerians and lovers of Nigeria, especially those who take pride in their rich culture and identity of which food is a key component.

Labule is also deepening its cultural identity by entering into a partnership with Bellaafricana, a key promoter of Afrocentric creative businesses, to sell quality products and accessories at the new Lekki outlet.
