Users report Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp worldwide crash
Users have taken to Social messaging app, Twitter to report a global crash of Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram as the hashtag “Facebookdown” trends on Twitter.
Running on a shared back-end infrastructure, the three social media apps, all owned by Facebook stopped working around 4pm as users took to Twitter to report their inability to access the platforms.
However, Facebook via their Twitter handle announced: “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
Similarly, WhatsApp shared: “We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible.”
