Indomie partners Kaduna State on school feeding initiative
Dufil Prima Foods, Plc, makers of Indomie noodles is partnering with Kaduna State government to improve nutrition school in Nigerian school. The General Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr. Girish Sharma disclose this when the top management staff of the company paid a courtesy visit to the Kaduna State government.
According to United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF), over 2.5million Nigerian children are victims of acute malnutrition. Sharma said that the programme is part of Indomie’s contribution to rolling back the scourge.
The programme also provides a veritable opportunity for the leading brand to connect on a person level with a market segment that is key to the success of its brand and also establish a stronger social footprint that can ensure sustainable brand awareness.
Sharma said that the continued progress of the school feeding scheme in the state and the passion of the government at ensuring the scheme remained functional had has resonated with the company goals.
According to him, Indomie decided to take part in the school feeding programme in order to contribute its quota towards impacting the lives of the students as well as support the government.
“It imperative for Indomie to throw its weight behind such a laudable scheme in order to encourage children to remain in school.”
Last year, the noodle giant announced a school feeding programme for over 1.5 million pupils covering 3500 school across the country. The initiative which is a multi-million naira project will last until the end of the current academic term.
