Purple Capital unveils largest digital bill board in Lagos
Purple Capital Partners Limited has unveiled the largest and longest bill board with about 550 square meters at the Maryland mall, Lagos.
Disclosing this to newsmen, Managing Partner, Purple Capital Partners Limited, Mr. Olaide Agboola, said that the digital bill board was the first of its kind in West Africa.
Agboola pointed out that it took the firm about 90 days from the opening of the mall to the point where the LED bill board was unveiled, adding that “we are finally in a stage where we can switch this digital billboard on”
According to him, the bill board was built to form the façade of the building and also as a major advertising point for the biggest brands in the country, stressing that it took the company about 22 months to complete the building from concept to completion.
He said:”Some of those brands include the likes of Stanbic IBTC Bank who have already taken a slot on the screen, you will probably see their advert being displayed on the screen anytime from now, those who also have very strong brands, a lot of them have chosen this space. We will most likely be unveiling those ones as we go along over the next weeks or so”
Abooola added that brands would be getting the maximum exposure of their advertisements on the screen, noting that it takes about eight seconds for each brand to display its advert and a total of about three hundred to six hundred impressions in a day for an 18 hours life circle.
Speaking in the same vein, Principal Architect, CM Design, Tosin Oshinowo, said that the LED screen was the finest puzzle to the building which was also planned at the conceptual stage.
Oshinowo added that the building was painted black to be a backdrop to the digital bill board, stressing that the bill board is the longest in West Africa with 60 meters long and 9 meters high.
Speaking on the manufacturer of the bill board, she said: “Rotal panel is the company that manufactured the bill board and it is based in Holland and they brought the screen into Nigeria. In terms of side, this is the longest screen in West Africa, it is a 60 meters long and 9 meters high.
