Women in Advertising Chairperson, Layade calls for bold action on IWD 2025
As the world marks International Women’s Day 2025, the Chairperson of Women in Advertising in Nigeria, Oluwaseyi Layade, has issued a compelling call to action, urging women to accelerate action, not just for personal growth, but for the progress of their communities and industries.
In a statement, she emphasised that real change happens when women take deliberate steps toward their ambitions, challenge limitations, and actively shape the future they envision.
“Accelerating action is more than a theme—it’s a mindset,” she stated. “It means making bold decisions, pushing boundaries, and showing up with confidence in every space we occupy. Progress doesn’t wait, and neither should we,” said Layade
She highlighted the power of collective action, noting that every contribution—big or small—matters. From advocating for equal opportunities to mentoring the next generation, women in advertising have the ability to drive meaningful change in the industry and beyond.
According to her, “Every idea we champion, every barrier we break, and every woman we uplift creates a ripple effect. The time to act is now.”
As women across the world celebrate their achievements and reflect on the work ahead, the message is clear: step forward, take action, and make an impact.
