Ugo Geri-Robert: An amazing Amazon in the research world
Ugo is an Executive Director at Kantar Nigeria with more than 20 years’ experience in coordinating and managing all aspects of marketing research. She is an expert in qualitative research coupled with a healthy dose of quantitative research experience.
Her experience covers several key client areas, new product development & innovation, strategic brand research, including brand & communications, market segmentations and pricing research. She has a wealth of experience leading and managing multi-country projects across Latin America, Europe and Africa.
Prior to joining Millward Brown (Kantar) Nigeria, she was Deputy Managing Director at Mapp Research and Executive Director at Research International Market Trends. She lectured briefly in the department of business administration, University of Lagos before her journey into the world of marketing research and consultancy.
Ugo holds a Master of Science Degree in Marketing and has attended several international management development courses across Africa, Asia and Europe.
She is a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing in Nigeria (fnimn), The Brand Management Institute of Nigeria (fibmn) and Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (fimcn). She is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (mnimc) and the Nigerian Market Research Association (mmra). She is an advisor to the African Brand Congress and equally an occasional contributor to marketing research journals and magazines locally and internationally. The amazing marketing Amazon is a resource person within the Kantar system and was former co-chair of the Nigerian Market Research Association’s committee on Education, Training and Capacity Building.
Ugo is the recipient of the 2014 Best Female Market Research CEO award by Nigeria Brand Awards. She is the winner of the 2015 Consumer Crazy award by Unilever and was also nominated for the 2016 Authenticity Award by Unilever in Africa. In 2019 she was appointed a GIZ (The Deutsche Gesellschaft fürInternationaleZusammenarbeit) advisor and mentor for ladies in different Mentorship Programmes.
Ugo is propelled by God and her thirst for excellence and human development. She is a soulful personality and enjoys singing, dancing and listening to gospel music.
