Together We Can: Power Oil WalkHeartOn champions full wellbeing through heart-healthy choices
Power Oil, a leading heart-healthy cooking oil, recently reinforced its commitment to enabling quality lives for consumers and their loved ones through its “Together We Can” campaign. The initiative, in partnership with the Kanu Heart Foundation, provided funding for three essential heart surgeries, with proceeds from every Power Oil bottle purchased contributing to the cause.
This initiative underlines Power Oil’s role in supporting full wellbeing by encouraging Nigerians to make healthy choices for themselves, other and those they love. The campaign culminated in Power Oil’s 9th annual WalkHeartOn event, a 6-kilometer walk promoting heart health and overall wellness.
“At Power Oil, we believe that true wellbeing begins with making choices that support heart health and enhance the quality of life for individuals and their families,” said Roland Akpe, Marketing Manager, Oils Portfolio at Tolaram Group. “Through Together We Can, we hope to empower Nigerians to prioritize their health and the health of loved ones by consuming quality products that support full, vibrant lives.”
Aligned with this vision, Dr. Benjamin Okereke, representing the Nigeria Heart Foundation, spoke at the event, highlighting how making heart-conscious dietary choices, like cooking with Power Oil, plays an essential role in supporting lifelong wellbeing. He commended participants for embracing heart health and choosing Power Oil as a partner in enhancing their overall quality of life.
The WalkHeartOn event brought together over 3,000 Nigerians to walk, learn, and celebrate the importance of maintaining healthy hearts as a cornerstone of full wellbeing. Mr. Tirenioluwa Gbewesa, a recipient of one of the campaign-sponsored heart surgeries, expressed deep gratitude to Power Oil consumers whose contributions not only made his surgery possible but also symbolized a community effort toward creating healthier lives.
Held in honour of World Heart Day, WalkHeartOn has become an annual celebration of wellness where Nigerians gather to promote heart health and inspire healthier lifestyles. This year’s event was especially energizing, with performances by Skales and Faze, formerly of PlantashunBoiz, who encouraged the crowd to keep making heart-friendly choices and supporting wellbeing for themselves and those they love.
As participants walked for heart health, Power Oil’s ongoing commitment to quality and wellness was evident. The Together We Can campaign has shown that by choosing the right products, Nigerians are investing in the full wellbeing of their families. Power Oil’s WalkHeartOn concluded with a shared sense of fulfillment, reminding everyone that together, small choices lead to big impacts for a lifetime of quality living.
