Raven Bank empowers Nigerian students with Feather Internet

Raven Bank is revolutionizing education in Nigeria with the launch of Feather Internet, a programme that provides free high-speed connectivity to Nigerian students. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and empower students with access to online educational resources, enabling them to thrive in the digital age.

Feather Internet was launched at Ignatuis Ajuru University, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, promises to offer students across Nigeria free high-speed internet connectivity, ensuring they can access educational materials, online courses and virtual learning platforms. The initiative comes at a time when access to digital resources has become increasingly crucial for students’ academic progress.

Speaking about the initiative, the Chief Executive Officer of Raven Bank, Uchenna Nnodim said, “The overarching digital lacuna within Nigeria’s educational framework and the bank’s dedication to promoting financial literacy among the youth is the motivating rational that prompted the project. The Feather Internet initiative reflects the bank’s passion to ensuring that students have unhindered access to academic materials and research works.

“The name ‘Feather Internet’ finds its inspiration in Raven Bank’s avian mascot, symbolizing the swift and agile nature of the bird’s wings. The moniker reflects the initiative’s capacity to transcend boundaries and redefine digital engagement.”

Uchenna further added that every student deserves equal opportunities for education, regardless of their socio-economic background. “With Feather Internet, we are committed to empowering Nigerian youths by providing them with free high-speed connectivity, enabling them to access educational resources that will enhance their learning experience.”

Praising Raven Bank’s exceptional installation efforts at the university, Professor Okey Okechukwu, Vice-Chancellor of the institution, commended the transformative power of Feather Internet. In his address to the attendees, he highlighted the crucial role that unrestricted internet access plays in enhancing student’s learning experiences. Okechukwu noted that the internet facilitates academic experience and enrich students with essential life skills that will have a lasting impact on their academic journey and beyond.

The success of the initiative on the university campus was echoed by the students themselves.

Friday, a member of the school’s ICT unit, praised the app’s speed and reliability. “Being part of the school’s ICT unit, I have had ample opportunities to use the app. It has been a game-changer, especially when the school’s WIFI network experiences disruptions. Raven Network has truly emerged as a dependable backup,” he affirmed.

Similarly, Eyo Blessing, a second-year Accounting student, commended the network’s seamless and efficient connectivity.
