Osinbajo pays unscheduled visit to Lagos airport
The Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo today paid an unscheduled visit to the nation’s busiest airport, Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos to inspect facilities at the airport.
Amongst those facilities inspected by Professor Osinbajo were the elevator at the international wing of the airport and the three conveyor belts recently commissioned by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The visit which has been described as first in history of the airport by airport workers including those of the Federal Airports Authority(FAAN), saw the Aviation Minister, Senator Hadi Sirika and the General Manager, Mechanical, FAAN, Engr. Ephraim Nwodo explaining the workings of the two facilities to the Acting President during the tour.
He also inspected the Visa on arrival section and security screening area both operated by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
The Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos was last years rated among the 10 worst airports in Africa by The Guide To Sleeping in Airports, the website documents information on airports and the people who sleep in them.
