Olubodun launches initiative to transmit valuable foundational knowledge

To transmit valuable and foundational knowledge to a new and upcoming generation of marketing and strategy professionals, Feyi Olubodun, marketing communications professional and former Managing Director of Insight Publicis is introducing OT: ND (Old tricks, New Dogs), a 2-hour in-person group coaching session for strategy leaders.

Commenting on the initiative, Olubodun told MARKETING EDGE: “This event will be used to set the agenda for creative thinking. We are now in an era where a new generation of marketing leaders are emerging and advancing rapidly, and to ensure that we continue to innovate and consistently create magic in this business of creativity, we must constantly strengthen the fundamentals by providing dedicated spaces for learning just like OT:ND.”

Old Tricks, New Dogs focuses on demonstrating the practical use and business value of marketing and strategy. According to the convener, the interactive session will feature 20 questions, 20 participants, rolled sleeves and whiteboard, no PowerPoints. The event will be held 9:am-11:am on Thursday 9th February at Open Squares’ Offices, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

Feyi Olubodun is the Founder and Managing Partner of Open Squares Africa, a boutique marketing strategy consulting firm. He currently consults for multinationals on how to win in the African marketplace, with assignments across multiple regions on the continent.

He is the author of the seminal book ‘The Villager: How Africans Consume Brands’ which articulates a proprietary framework for understanding African consumers. Olubodun also sits on the Board of Malaria No More UK, as Trustee to guide the organization regarding the African market. He is also the first African to be appointed to the EMEA Regional Advisory Board of Duke University Fuqua School of Business. He also sits on the Boards of other organizations across Africa.

He is a Global Executive MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. He is SMP 40 Alumni of Lagos Business School and a BSc Psychology graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).
