NIPR holds annual conference for Directors and Heads of Public Relations
The Nigeria Institute of Public Relation (NIPR) is poised to fulfil its statutory function designed for Directors and Heads of Public Relations to provide a platform where the private and public sectors will exchange ideas and engage in trending discourse in governance, as well as equip them with new skills to be effective in communication responsibilities and responses.
The conference which will hold at Ibom Resort and Golf Course, Uyo , Akwa Ibom State, is scheduled for 26 and 27 November, 2020 from 10am to 4pm daily.
This is the fifth edition with the theme “Changing the Dynamic of Governance through strategic Communication”.
The key objective of this training is to foster corporate statesmanship and also provide a platform for a shared conversation in the best way to respond to the social needs of society.
Expected attendees include chief Executives, Heads of Public Relations Departments, Public Relation Companies and Consultants, Commissioners of Information, Permanent Secretaries and Directors and Generals, Senior Managers, and General Managers in Corporate Affairs Function, press secretaries and Special Assistants.
The need is to deepen the communication competencies of Chief Executives top management and heads of Public Relations has long been recognized in an ever-changing corporate environment, where organizations jostle for share of voice and market.
There is no gain saying that there appears to be a need gap in the public sector as it seems to be more conservative in its response to a rapidly dynamic and interactive environment. As a result, there is often discordance in the way corporations and government relate.
