Nestlé appoints Toka as Category Development Manager

World’s largest food and beverage company, Nestle Nigeria, has appointed Rukevwe Toka as its Category Development Manager.
Announcing the new appointment on his LinkedIn page, Mr. Toka expressed delight, stating that he would be starting a new position as Category Development Manager, Culinary – MAGGI, I&R and New Segments.
“It’s been an absolute honor to join the world’s largest food and beverage company. The Good Food, Good Life company is unlocking the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come. Nestlé is also well known for a great culture based on values and rooted in respect. It’s a leader for many generations, yet never complacent.

Mr. Toka is armed with over 10 years work experience in various sectors which include Technology, Consumer Goods, and Media in different capacities. The former Coca-Cola Brand Manager is also obsessively focused on creating value and building breakthrough brands by leveraging best practices and principles of marketing to maximize business growth. His key skills and expertise cut across various capacities such as brand & category management, consumer & omnichannel shopper insights, digital & data-driven marketing as well as marketing communications.
He began his marketing career as a digital marketing executive in the music industry. Afterwards, he served at 3 technology start-ups, an established technology solutions & transaction services business, and later found his way to a telecommunications business and then went to a digital marketing agency where he managed various fast-moving consumer goods clients.
He has worked with other legacy companies such as Unilever, where he was the Brand & Digital Marketing Manager, Home, Beauty & Personal Care Category, and The HEINEKEN Company as its Head of Insights & Digital Marketing, Digital Engagement Center.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Medical Biochemistry from the University of Benin, Edo State and MBA in Executive Education – Product Strategy; Developing, Managing and Marketing Products at the Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management, Illinois, United States, as well as a Master of Business Administration, MBA, Business/Commerce, from the University of South Wales.
