Multichoice announces N85million grand prize for BBNaija Season 5
The popular reality TV show Big Brother Naija, organised by Multichoice Nigeria, has announced that winner of the fifth season premiering on Sunday, July 19 2020 will be smiling home with a whopping grand prize of N85 million.
The media and entertainment company made this known in a statement, describing the latest prize as highest since its inception in 2006.The show awarded the a N60 million grand prize to the winner the previous year.
A breakdown of the prize include a N30 million cash prize, a two-bedroom apartment courtesy – Revolution Plus, a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker – Innoson Motors, a trip to Dublin – courtesy Guinness, home appliances – courtesy Scan frost, a trip to Dubai – packaged by Travelbeta, a year’s supply of Indomie Noodles, Munch it and Colgate toothpaste, a year’s supply of Pepsi, a branded chiller and a trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale, and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.
“The fifth season of BBNaija marks a major landmark in the reality TV series. We are making this season remarkable by not only increasing the winnings, but by also implementing other creative and innovative ways to ensure the show lives up to the premium entertainment especially during the current epidemic,” the statement noted.
Despite the growing devastation of coronavirus epidemic, the company assured viewers that the best global health practices will be put in place to ensure the safety of contestants. Already, the contestants are in isolation to ensure that they are Covid-19 free and not risks to others.
