MOUKA celebrates 60th anniversary, reiterates dedication to quality
Mouka Foam, one of the leading foam brands has celebrated its 60th year of existence in Nigeria. As part of the 60th anniversary, Mouka will be comforting 60 less privileged homes in Nigeria as a way of giving back to the community and as well as giving out discount to every product bought above sixty thousand naira.
Speaking on the occasion of the 60th anniversary, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mouka Plc, Raymond Murphy, noted that the last 60 years has been a long and successful journey for Mouka and that the company had built a durable brand during the period.
In his words: “Mouka is a truly indigenous company as it is staffed by about 801 employees, with me being the only expatriate. The company also has over 300 distributors, some of whom are second-generation distributors who have been with the company for over 40 years. We must also praise the shareholders of the company for giving quality and wholesome support to the company over the years.”
Mouka, according to the company boss, having celebrated 59th years of independence in Nigeria, and a year before Nigeria, started its production in Kano. He also added that Mouka Foam was the only company to be recognised in the London stock exchange within two years.
In a similar vein, the Marketing Manager, Tolu Olanipekun, while introducing more innovations about the brand, said: “MOUKA has been in existence since the year 1959. We have product assortment of high quality, including mattress, pillow and Mozzi as we have always been adding comfort to the life of Nigerians for the past sixty years.”
According to her, Mouka was the first to offer warranty on its products which explains why consumers repose a lot of confidence in the brand, adding that “Mouka employs the latest technology in all its products”.
Dr. Chris Okafor, a health practitioner while giving advice on health-related issues, said: “Many problems arise due to improper sleeping habits. And what leads to such problems depends on the mattress an individual uses. People should have enough rest on a good mattress because it promotes the quality of life,” he said.
He added: “While designing mattresses for foam, pillow and other applications, it is important to emphasise the ergonomic suitability of mattress designs as solutions to prevent many work-related MSDs. Studies have shown that using a new bed proofed to be more effective than sleeping pills as it improves a night sleep.”
