Meet MARKETING EDGE panelist @Inaugural Quarterly Virtual Summit-Brenda Nwagwu
Brenda Nwagwu is a seasoned entrepreneur and communications specialist with over 20 years’ experience across the Marketing Communications, Financial and Technology sectors.
She has led media investment strategy for brands from the stables of Guinness, Reckitt Benckiser, British American Tobacco, Standard Chartered Bank and Pepsi Co amongst others, while working with global media agencies; OMD and All Seasons Zenith Nigeria.
Following her passion for entrepreneurship, she founded QVT Media, a communication strategy, media planning, buying and sponsorship management company in 2012.
QVT Media provides communications and media related consultancy services, project management and marketing & media training services to public & private organizations, companies, marketing communications organizations and broadcast/content owners.
Brenda is the immediate past President of AIESEC ALUMNI Nigeria, Chairperson, MIPAN (Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria) Technical Committee and serves on the board of the following companies and organizations; AIESEC Nigeria Board of Advisors, ICapTechnologies Limited, FlowPlay Media Limited (Nairobi Kenya) and AMPZ, a grassroots sports development tech startup.
Brenda graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in Accounting, but she is not a bean counter by any stretch of the imagination. Her leadership traits started to be honed through her activities with AIESEC, the leading student management development organization in the world. The organization provided the platform for her to study and understand firsthand issues around youth empowerment, leadership and entrepreneurship.
After graduation, she worked briefly for Asset & Resource Management Holding Company (ARM). Thereafter, she moved into the marketing communications space as a Sponsorship Manager at MediaReachOMD, one of Nigeria’s foremost Media independent agencies.
She enjoyed a steady progression in her career until she transferred her services to All Seasons MediaCom where she headed the planning and strategy function.
An intellectual think-tank, Brenda is constantly exploring ideas, either in the service of the brands in her company’s portfolio or in relation to her human development goals.
In giving back, Brenda continues to be involved with several youth, entrepreneurial and leadership development initiatives and loves to mentor young people who seek to impact their communities and fulfill their God given purpose. Her main passion is leading people to achieve goals that have the potential to transform lives.
