MARKETING EDGE on TV hosts Ufot tomorrow

Foremost brand-focused, marketing and advertising television programme, MARKETING EDGE on TV, will be hosting Udeme Ufot, the Group CEO of SO&U and Co-Chair of the THECS Policy, tomorrow, Wednesday, on TVC News, DSTV Channel 418 at 12:30 pm.
The programme, which is a 30-minute potpourri of industry gist, events and conversations, will also be broadcast on WAP TV on Wednesday at 8pm and on Thursday at 9.30am.
The advertising expert would be continuing the conversation he started last week, which centered on audience measurement system, leveraging technology, Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria’s (ARCON’s) reforms and plans of SO&U.
Mr. Ufot started his advertising career in Desmark Advertising, Calabar, Cross River State, then moved to Insight Communications before setting out to establish SO&U, a force to be reckoned, in 1990. He is an Associate Member of the Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN) and award winner, Best student in Agricultural Insurance at the West African Insurance Institute (WAII) Banjul Gambia, 2001.
Mr. Ufot has successfully etched his name in the sands of time by serving on the media sub-committee of the Celebration Planning Committee for Nigeria’s 40th Independence Anniversary in 2000, and by been the chairman and co-chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) on two occasions.
The advertising guru was dressed with the national honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2014 and then appointed as the chairman of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON, now ARCON), by former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, in March, 2015.
