MARKETING EDGE is now a phenomenon –Mbanefo

The Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of New Crystal Communications Ltd, Prince Dozie Mbanefo, has affirmed that MARKETING EDGE has become a household name and industry phenomenon.
Mbanefo, who was the chairman of the MARKETING EDGE 20th anniversary Awards of Excellence, stated this at Lekki, Lagos, during his keynote address. He added that the media platform has become a notable brand with an undeniable credible track record. MARKETING EDGE’s record, he mentioned, has positioned it as a household name to be reckoned with across the globe.
He asserted that the brand has for 20 years become synonymous with Nigeria’s marketing and advertising world as it plays an outstanding role in creating and shaping the entire industry.
Mbanefo said: “Indeed it gives me great pleasure to chair this historic occasion, the landmark 20th anniversary celebration of MARKETING EDGE magazine, a leading and authoritative news media covering marketing and advertising business in Nigeria, across Africa and indeed the entire globe.
“John, you have done well – keep it up. Truth be told guys, I am most delighted to be asked to give this keynote address. Not only because I am the chairman of this occasion, but also as one of those who have truly followed the evolution of MARKETING EDGE magazine as a credible authoritative and audacious publication. I can confirm that this has been 20 years of robust brand journalism in Nigeria and across Africa.”
Commending the publisher as a go-getter whose vision has transcended the present, the advertising guru went further to applaud the entire staff of MARKETING EDGE for riding successfully on the rough areas of Nigerian business landscape.
He further stressed: “As a witness to the history of MARKETING EDGE, especially through the efforts of Mr. Ajayi, the publisher and CEO of this magazine, I can confirm very authoritatively today that these two decades have been well and you have won. It is a remarkable journey in resilience, doggedness as I will call it, perseverance, and focus. I will always say, it is raw determination and uncommon passion that you have shown.
“John, I admire this about you and your team. You guys have done well. We all understand the business environment in this country. I know when they started about 20 years ago and how tough it was and how they tried to pull this together. We must appreciate the fact that they have done something great. These two decades of audacious and amazing entrepreneurship would have been fueled with trials and all that the environment and business throw at you.”
Mbanefo added: “You have done this for years and you have done it right; we thank you for that. Indeed our celebration tonight is more than double; so thumbs up to MARKETING EDGE. This only goes to show how great you are in your areas of market. You are a great brand by all standards. The good Lord will continue to bless your platform, its management and staff.”
