Lamborghini names 2021 record year, delivered 8,405 cars

Lamborghini recorded its best sales in 2021 with 8,405 cars supplied globally thus making 2021 its ground-breaking year.  This unprecedented figure is attributed to the company’s strategic plan to combat the challenges of Covid 19 and the market uncertainties attendant to it.

Commenting about the groundbreaking record, Stephan Winkelmann,  chairman and CEO of Automobile Lamborghini said: “This record has provided confirmation of four factors for us: the solidity of our strategic plan, our brand’s outstanding International reputation, the competence and passion of our people and the exceptional professionalism and dynamism shown by our 173 dealers in 52 markets, who have continued to invest alongside us at a challenging, uncertain time”.

The company, which is known as an example of excellence and innovation in the automobile world, had growth in three of its macro-regions: America (+14%), EMEA (12%), and Asia Pacific (+14%). The company’s global volume also increased, with increases of  35%, 27 percent, and 39 percent in three major regions respectively.

The Urus super SUV model sold 5,021 units, the Huracon model with the V10 engine sold 2,586 units, and the Aventadors (V12 model) sold 798 units worldwide.

The Urus model is helping the brand gain a large market share in China with 935 deliveries, with 935 deliveries, the Urus model is assisting the brand in gaining a large market share in China, while the United States appears to be the brand’s largest market with 2472 deliveries, Germany comes third with 706 deliveries and United Kingdom comes in fourth with 564 deliveries, and Italy with 359 deliveries.

The company also revealed that it will launch it’s first hybrid model in 2023 and have the entire range electrified by 2024. it revealed further that four new products will be released this year and that more than €1 billion will be invested over the next four years, with the first hybrid model to be launched in 2023 and have the entire range electrified by 2024.

“We are stronger than ever as we prepare to embark on a period of profound transformation and move towards an even more sustainable future. “In 2022, we will be doing our utmost to consolidate the current performance and get ready for the arrival of our future hybrid range from 2023 onwards”, Winkelmann said.
