Kia Unveils Made-In-Nigeria 2018 Sportage Model
Kia Motors Nigeria has brought excitement to its customers and sport utility vehicle lovers in Nigeria as the car maker rolled-out the 2018 edition of Sportage utility car in the country.
Mr. Jacky Hathiramani, Group Managing Director, Kia Motors Nigeria, described the new vehicle as a stunning masterpiece, adding that the car has been equipped with innovative packaging, premium materials, powerful engine and state-of-the art technology.
Hathiramani said that designing the 2018 edition of Kia Sprtage was born out of an in-depth analysis of market trends that would suit the needs of consumers.
According to him, the Sportage is the new king of the urban jungle with more than enough power to safely and smoothly navigate city roads along with a perfect combination of contemporary style and sporty appeal.
Hathiramani said, “We are confident that the all-new Kia Sportage will take the entire auto industry by storm, not because of its brave and handsome design but also its reengineered technology for optimum performance. The Sportage boasts of a high, comfortable ride, acres of space for stuff, kids and pets, and off-road ability too. The new model is a bit longer than the old one – 1.6 inches, with a wheelbase 1.2 inches longer – so there is more room in the back while the floor is a bit lower making for easier entry.”
Mr. Olu Tikolo, the Vice President, Kia Motors Nigeria, at the presentation of the fourth generation of Sportage to motoring journalists in Lagos, said the vehicle was targeted at trendy business executives and young couples.
Tikolo added that the 2018 Sportage is one of the most affordable among top compact SUV despite being equipped with new sophisticated features not available among its contemporaries.
He said: “aesthetic improvements in design and improved functionality of the all-new Sportage is expected to once again accelerate Kia’s market progress and open a brand new chapter in the company’s history of pioneering the compact urban SUV segment. The anticipation and excitement for the fourth generation Sportage is expectedly high and we cannot wait for the world to enjoy the dynamic contemporary sophistication of our all-new compact SUV.”
