International Breweries informs NSE of Otunba Michael Daramola’s resignation
International Breweries Plc, a member of ABInBev, the world’s No. 1 brewing group has formally informed The Nigerian Stock Exchange and the investing public of the resignation of its erstwhile Executive Director, Legal and Corporate Affairs.
While dropping the hint, the company disclosed that Daramola had served in various capacities within the Company and had contributed immensely to the Company’s growth for about 15 years, adding that the resignation came on the heels of attaining the requirement for retirement from the Company.
Among other positions previously held in the company by Daramola was serving on the board as a non-Executive Chairman for five-year tenure between 2012 and 2017.
Before joining International Breweries Plc, Daramola had occupied the position of Chairman at MicBeth Nig. Ltd and Financial Controller at MicCom Cables & Wires Ltd.
It would be recalled that International Breweries Plc., a part of ABInbev, the world’s largest brewer, produces, packages and markets alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Some of its popular brands are Budweiser, Trophy Lager, Hero Lager, Betamalt and Grand Malt. International Breweries Plc was established in 1971 and was listed on The Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1995. The Company AB InBev consolidated its business stakes in Pabod Breweries Limited, Intafact Beverages Limited into its majority ownership of International Breweries Plc in a merger that was concluded in December, 2017.
