Influencer campaign doesn’t solve all marketing challenges – Nnamdi

Okenyi Nnamdi, Senior Manager, Brands Optimal Limited, has said that influencer marketing, despite its ability to help advertisers reach a large number of their target audience, does not solve all marketing problems. He posited that, even though influencer marketing/campaigns can be powerful tools to reach specific demographics, other marketing tools should be considered when strategizing on the right tools to use to reach a brand’s target audience.

Speaking with MARKETING EDGE in an exclusive interview, the brand expert noted that other marketing tools such as traditional advertising and public relations should be a must in all strategic marketing plans of advertisers, as it is not all products and services that are well suited for influencer marketing.

“Other marketing methods can still be effective when used in conjunction with influencer marketing. Influencer marketing can be a powerful tool to reach specific demographics and build trust with potential customers. However, it’s important to remember that not all products or services are well-suited for influencer marketing, and traditional marketing methods may still be the best choice in some cases,” he said.

Also speaking on how effective experiential marketing works on the mind of the consumer, Nnamdi said: “Experiential marketing, which is a form of marketing that aims to create a memorable and engaging experience for consumers, can be an effective way to build brand awareness and customer loyalty. This type of marketing can be particularly effective in generating word-of-mouth promotion and social media engagement, which can help to amplify the reach and impact of the campaign.”

He highlighted that experiential marketing creates immersive and interactive experiences that allow customers to engage with the brand in a more meaningful way, and that all experiences can be recorded and shared on social media platforms as content marketing.

“Creating immersive and Experiential Marketing is a very powerful way to connect with customers, it can help build a deeper emotional connection with the brand and increase brand loyalty. It’s a type of marketing that focuses on creating experiences and interactions between customers and the brands,” he said.

Nnamdi advised that even though marketers and brands chose influencer marketing, it is of essence to choose the right influencer to work with.

“Additionally, it is important to note that influencer marketing has become a saturated market. So choosing the right influencer, building a genuine relationship, and measuring the ROI are more crucial than ever,” he concluded.
