Leading pay-television service provider, GOtv Nigeria has added nine new local channels to its Max and Plus subscribers in Asaba, Delta State and Onitsha, Anambra State which promises to excite its numerous subscribers.
The nine local channels which include: Spice TV, MiTV, WAPTV, ITV Benin, BISCON, Liberty TV, Tiwan Tiwan, R2TV, and Rave TV were rolled-out on Sunday, April 14 in Asaba and on Tuesday April 16 in Onitsha.
The Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria, Mr. John Ugbe, stressed that the addition of the nine new local channels across its platforms, is part of MultiChoice commitment’s to enable subscribers have access to various categories of content in a variety of indigenous languages, while supporting the Federal Government’s efforts in the digital switch over process.
In Ugbe’s words: “We commenced the current phase of the expansion in Jos and from there we moved to Kaduna. The extension of the programme roll-out to Asaba and Onitsha indicates that we are fulfilling our promise to make available quality programming for Nigerians in different parts of the country”
