Dentsu Aegis Network Nigerian CEO, Emeka Okeke to speak at global outdoor congress
Dentsu Aegis Network Nigerian CEO, Emeka Okeke has been appointed as one of the lead speakers at this year’s Federation European Publicite Exterieur (FEPE) Congress, holding at Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, Stockholm, Sweden. FEPE International is the worldwide association of outdoor advertising companies and the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) is a member of the body.
The annual congress which is one of the largest gatherings of outdoor players worldworld, attracting 350 delegates from 40 countries during last year’s edition in Barcelona, Spain, is in its 58th edition and the keynote address will be delivered by Carat Global President William Swayne. His speech will be centred around the congress theme: A Time of Revolution – Earning the Right to Win.
Mr Okeke will be sharing the podium with Swayne and other top players in the billboard advertising world at the congress which was first held in Toronto, Canada, in 1960, one year after the setting up of FEPE in Paris.
Okeke’s outing at the congress underscores his rising profile in the marketing communications sector in Africa and especially the outdoor segment which he became a part of in 2015, when Media Fuse attracted Posterscope, a global leader in outdoor advertising, to the Nigeria market.
Besides, Okeke is a versatile media specialist who has traversed the industry with remarkable feats which finally culminated in his floating a media shop that has become a market leader within two years of operation. He has been a regular participant and facilitator at global advertising and media for a and contemporary industry issues.
This year’s Congress will build on the four pillars outlined by FEPE President Matthew Dearden at last year’s Congress in Barcelona. Key Themes will be. 1. Making the case for OOH in a digital world; 2. Taking the digital revolution out of home; 3. How can OOH reclaim our creative crown; 4. Making OOH easier to plan, buy and deliver.
In his Keynote William Swayne, who has extensive experience of major global advertisers including Adidas and Procter & Gamble, will describe the challenges Out of Home faces over the next few years and the tactics and strategies required to maintain and increase growth in an increasingly complex and competitive global market.
