Debbie Larry-Izamoje becomes the youngest CEO of Brila Media Group

Debbie Larry-Izamoje, the 30-year old daughter of a veteran Sport Journalist, Larry Izamoje has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Brila Media Group, the parent company of the foremost sport radio station in Africa, Brila Fm.
Confirming the appointment recently through her LinkedIn page, the digital communication expert described her new role as more than just a title, but something truly special that signifies a new era, fresh chapter, chance to build, innovate and take the brand to a new height.
At 30 years old, Debbie’s appointment marks a trailblazing moment for women and young professionals in media leadership. Her rise to the top position of the media group signals a paradigm shift toward more inclusive and diverse leadership in a traditionally male-dominated industry, particularly in sports journalism.
Until her recent promotion, Debbie served as the Chief Operating Officer of the organization, a role she used to transform Brila FM into Brila Media by significantly expanding its digital presence and building a robust digital community.
While reacting to her elevation as CEO, Debbie noted that the 22 years old brand just got younger, bolder and more dynamic. According to her, more than ever, the Media group will be focusing on connecting with the next generation of sports lovers in ways that feel fresh, exciting and authentic.
