Abiodun Ajiborode earns prestigious Doctorate from Swiss Business School

Renowned marketing expert and brand strategist, Abiodun Ajiborode, has achieved a significant milestone by earning a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from the esteemed Swiss Business School.
Ajiborode shared his academic journey on LinkedIn in a post titled “Becoming a Doctor.” He recounted the challenges and rewards of the past three years, during which he balanced his role at Coca-Cola Nigeria with his studies at SBS Swiss Business School through their African partner, Nobel International Business School (NiBS) in Accra, Ghana.
“Becoming a doctor is a journey that demands immense dedication, not only financially but also in terms of time, energy, and emotional commitment. It involved countless sleepless nights, reviewing over 400 articles, formulating research hypotheses, collecting data from over 300 respondents, analyzing and interpreting data, and deriving practical recommendations. I am grateful that my dream has been realized, and I now proudly hold the title of Doctor of Business Administration,” Ajiborode wrote.
With 20 years of experience in business leadership, strategic brand and marketing management, commercial operations, business model re-engineering, and driving growth and innovation, Ajiborode’s career began at MTN as a customer service executive. He later joined H. Pierson Consulting as an Associate Consultant focusing on marketing and business development.
Ajiborode’s career includes roles at Promasidor Nigeria as Category Brand Manager and various positions in multinational companies such as Coca-Cola International, Coca-Cola Hellenic, AB INBEV, PZ Cussons, and Grand Oak Limited. Currently, he serves as the Brand and Trade Marketing Director for Monument Distillers Limited, the makers of Four Cousins Wine, in Nigeria.
He has successfully managed leading brands such as Coca-Cola, 5 Alive, Schweppes, Cowbell Milk, Loya Milk, Canoe and Zip Detergent, Castle Milk Stout, Miller Lager Beer, Castle Lite Beer, 1960 Rootz Bitters, Seaman Schnapp, and Lords Dry Gin. During the 2020 pandemic, he led Coca-Cola Marketing to deliver a record-breaking performance of 300MUC despite several operational challenges.
Ajiborode holds a B.Sc from Ambrose Alli University and an MBA from Lagos Business School. He is a chartered marketer with both the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria. He has also attended executive training programs at top institutions including Kellogg Business School, Harvard University, and Cornell University.
