Cannes Lions appoints Steve Babaeko as juror for Young Lions Live Awards
Cannes Lions has confirmed the AAAN President and CEO/Chief Creative Officer X3M IDEAS MARKETING LIMITED, Steve Babaeko on its Jury line-up for the Young Lions Live Awards in March. The Young Lions Award launched in partnership with WWF and Unruly, is a global challenge for the next generation of creatives aged between 18 and 30.
For over two decades, Steve Babaeko has contributed to the creation and development of some of the most iconic works in Africa and beyond, such as the “Proudly Nigerian” campaign for British American Tobacco, the “Now You’re Talking” campaign for Etisalat, “You Need A New Bank” campaign for Diamond Bank and many others. The AAAN President kicked off his advertising career at Mc&A Saatchi & Saatchi and later moved to Prima Garnet Ogilvy.
In 2019 he emerged on Adweek’s Top 100 Creatives in the world, and has also represented Africa on the global stage as a member of the jury at the New York Advertising Festival, the Loeries, and African Cristal Awards. He has also been a speaker at the Cannes Lions Festival.

The Young Lions Live Awards is set to kick off 19th March, 2021. Winners will be announced in April.
