GroupM announced today that it has surpassed its goal of doubling client investment in women’s sports since last year.
The goal, set earlier this year, was tied to a new specialized women’s sports marketplace created by the WPP media investment division.
To date, over 20 brands have increased their investment in women’s sports through the new marketplace, including companies such as Adidas, Adobe, Ally, Coinbase, Danone, Discover, Domino’s, DoorDash, Google, Indeed, Mars, Method, Nationwide, Target, TJ Maxx, Unilever, and Universal Pictures.
GroupM also reported securing 25 exclusive opportunities with major media networks, including Disney, NBCUniversal, Paramount, and YouTube, for the 2024-2025 broadcast period, aimed at advancing women’s sports in visibility, growth, and revenue.
According to a GroupM spokesperson, the new marketplace has exceeded its spending target by more than 15%.
“This figure doesn’t yet include additional investments through the scatter marketplace, which will further contribute to our commitment,” she said, adding: “We’re on track to continue surpassing our target.”
