Wimbiz congratulates Chidinma Lawanson on her appointment as Country Head, Mastercard Foundation
Women In Management, Business & Public Service (Wimbiz) has felicitated with Chidinma Lawanson on her new assignment as Country Head, Nigeria at Mastercard Foundation.
Conveying its hearty felicitations, the formidable and professional women organisation said: “Big Congratulations to Chidinma Lawanson on her appointment to serve as the Country Head, Nigeria at Mastercard Foundation. We are excited for her and we wish her continued success as she contributes her quota to nation building.”
Expressing her gratitude to the new job, Chidinma enthused: “New Year, great things! I am grateful to God. I am bringing my very best to enable Mastercard Foundation in Nigeria, as its pioneer Country Head, implement its “Young Africa Works”, launched in 2018 to enable 30 million young people, particularly women (inclusive of 10 million young Nigerians), to secure dignified and fulfilling employment by 2030.
“In Nigeria, we aim to intervene in a sustainable manner, in thematic areas that will achieve the above strategy while strengthening ecosystems through advocacy and private sector collaborations. So help me God!”
Chidinma holds over 24 years of experience in the financial services and development finance sector, with emphasis on retail banking, digital payments, agri finance, small and medium-scale enterprises and financial inclusion, at executive and senior management levels. She is a strong business development professional with a Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Boston University. A Hubert Humphrey Fellow (Fulbright Scholar). She is a graduate of Chemistry, University of Calabar.
Wimbiz is a non-profit organisation working to inspire and empower women to attain leadership roles in management, business and public service.
