Traffic Radio emerges as Innovative Traffic Radio Station of the year

Lagos Traffic Radio, 96.1 FM, a traffic information dissemination station, has emerged as the Innovative Traffic Radio Station of the Year 2021, during the recently concluded MARKETING EDGE Annual Awards of Excellence in Ikeja, Lagos.
The Lagos Traffic Radio was awarded for attaining a very high equity, and for its innovative record of achievements over the years, while revolutionizing the traffic broadcast sub-sector as an iconic brand.
Speaking with MARKETING EDGE during the award night, Tayo Akande, General Manager, Traffic Radio, said: “On behalf of Traffic Radio, we feel so humbled by the fact that we were recognized and given this award. Honestly, it’s a call to do more and as a station we are bent on doing more by adding value to Lagosians.”
“If you see what is happening here tonight, you will know that all the players in the integrated marketing communication sub-sector are here. It shows that MARKETING EDGE Award has integrity and potency. That is why you can see all the players in the industry gather here tonight.
“I really want to commend MARKETING EDGE for gathering all the players together in one roof. Even the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, recognizes the fact that all the players are here and that shows that MARKETING EDGE is very big as an outfit.”
Mr. Akande said the award will spur his radio station to do more in providing real-time traffic updates for Lagos residents.
