Rockcity FM seeks support of Media Buying agencies
One of the leading radio stations in Nigeria, Rockcity FM has called for the support of media buying agencies in the country.
The Managing Director, Rockcity FM, Dr. Niran Malaolu, who led the management and On-Air Personalities of the station to the luncheon with the media buying agencies interacted, said the meeting was to engender friendly business relationship and mutual understanding that would help grow the station.
According to Malaolu, “We are here simply to interact with our partners. We came to meet each other, to know each other and then to discuss business and establish a relationship. This is basically what we are doing.
He explained further: “You know that majority of the agencies are in Lagos and we are located in Abeokuta, so, it is imperative for us to come and meet with them, so that they can be aware of the top-notch services that we render because we are a professional radio station in every sense. We are news-focused and most of our programmes are the best in the world.”
Speaking in the same vein, Head of Finance and Administration, Rockcity FM, Mr. Gbenga Ogunlowo, disclosed that the station organized the event to familiarize itself with its clients.
Ogunlowo said that responses received from the various agencies that attended the event, which include Brand Eye Media, ShareMind, Media More, among others, were quite remarkable, adding that a lot of fruitful transactions were made during the interaction with the stakeholders.
According to him, “this is not the first time that we are holding this kind of event in Lagos. We have had several of this kind of meetings even though we call this one ‘Meet and Greet.’ Before now, it was called ‘Partner’s Dinner,’ so, they invite people from agencies and have dinner with them. Like I said before, the purpose is still the same because you need to interact with your clients and customers so that you can grow your business.”
