Noah’s Ark gets global acclaim with 3 awards at Loeries
Nigeria’s advertising industry this evening received global applause and reckoning as Noah’s Ark, a new generation creative shop, hauled three major awards at the on-going Lories Creative Week holding in Durban, South Africa.
The three categories where Noah’s Ark’s entries won awards are the Outdoor, where its Hypo campaign got a bronze medal, it won another bronze in the print category, where it submitted for Obama gala and the Queen gala, then a silver Print. These campaigns where the same entries that won the agency several awards at the 2015 LAIF, including the only Grand Prix of the event.
The agency was founded by Nigeria’s creative wizkid, Lanre Adisa more than eight years ago. Adisa who has undergone advertising tutelage in major Nigerian creative agencies including Insight Communications, TBWA Concept and Rosabel Advertising said he decided to embark on the journey because he wanted to make a statement for his generation of advertising practitioners.
The Loeries recognition is a major boost to Noah’s Ark’s rising international profile as the agency was the first and only Nigerian agency to be awarded a diploma by organisers of Cannes Lions. Its award cabinet is also graced with other international awards like Lürzer’s Archive, African Cristal and now Loeries.
In a recent interview, Adisa noted that Noah’s Ark is motivated by its deep desire to ensure that clients get good value for the brands they have entrusted unto the agency. He added that Noah’s Ark also views itself as competing with other agencies outside the country, adding that, their quest to register their presence globally in one form or the other is another driving force for the agency.
The agency boss noted that Noah’s Ark is a metaphor for a new generation of fresh thinkers in marketing communications. “We believe in the supremacy of the ideas; we go wherever the ideas take us. We believe that greater creativity is the one that saves brands from the storm of sameness.”
