mediaReach OMD unveils latest Edition of Mediafacts Book
Leading media agency in the West Africa sub region, mediaReach OMD, has released the 2016 edition of mediafacts.
The annual book, published since 2001, has become a point of reference on media information in West and Central Africa. It focuses on providing in-depth media overview, covering media consumption, ranking of broadcast stations and publications, media investment trends, top categories and advertisers, as well as demographic understanding of consumers. It also offers vital information and statistics about markets in terms of key facts and economic indicators, among other attributes.
The latest edition of mediafacts, undoubtedly a key resource for marketing professionals in West and Central Africa, covers Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo, and The Gambia.
Other countries covered include Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Rwanda, Chad Republic, Mauritania, Congo Brazzaville, Central African Republic and Cape Verde.
Analysts agree that mediaReach OMD has continued to be a thought leader and pioneer of various initiatives at the industry level, including syndicated and proprietary researches. Last year, mediaReach OMD published a 10-year trends report to commemorate over a decade of mediafacts.
The organisation has presence in Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon. It started its operations in Nigeria 18 years ago, and has been consistently ranked first by Research Company Evaluating the Media Agency Industry (RECMA).
In February 2017, OMD Worldwide was awarded the “Most Creative and Innovative Network of the Year” for the 11th consecutive time by the Gunn Report for Media, which is the industry standard for evaluating media creativity, innovation and effectiveness.
Early in March this year, mediaReach OMD was ranked No. 35 and the only media agency in Jobberman Best 100 companies to work for in Nigeria, which was measured across various parameters including job satisfaction, career growth prospects, work-life balance, staff welfare, equal opportunity policy and company culture.
Later that same month, the company won the Young Lions Media – Nigeria Competition and Young Pro Media – West Africa Championship. With these wins, mediaReach OMD will represent Nigeria at Cannes in June, 2018 for the Cannes Young Lions Media – Global Competition. Its appearance will be the eighth time since 2008 that the company would be travelling to the French Riviera city.
