MARKETING EDGE’s 2023 Summit, Awards set to hold this Friday and Saturday

As preparations continue to intensify to set the industry agog, MARKETING EDGE has kicked off its count-down to the most anticipated event of the year, the MARKETING EDGE National Marketing Stakeholders’ Summit and Brands & Advertising Excellence Awards. The events are scheduled for 15th and 16th of September, 2023, respectively.
The National Marketing Stakeholders’ Summit will be held virtually on Friday, 15th, via Zoom. This year’s Brands & Advertising Excellence Awards, also tagged The EDGE Awards, will be held at the prestigious The Podium Event Centre, 124, T.F. Kuboye Road, Lekki Phase 1, Lekki, Lagos, by 5:00PM.
According to the organisers, this year’s 20th Anniversary edition of the Awards Night is ready to host as its Chairman, an industry icon and creative disrupter, a highly respected intellectual in Nigeria’s Out-of-Home sector, Prince Dozie Mbanefo, Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of New Crystal Communications Ltd, a leading Out-Of-Home digitally wired agency.
Award-winning Mbanefo is one of the shakers and movers of the industry, a seasoned entrepreneur and one of the personalities inspiring and shaping the Nigerian marketing communications industry today.
In a statement, the publisher/CEO of MARKETING EDGE, Mr. John Ajayi, said the event is slated to be held virtually with the theme, “The Sustainable Growth of Marketers: Adapting to Challenging Opportunities In a Disrupted World”. This year’s National Marketing Summit, he said, will be hosting IVAN MOROKE, the CEO of Kantar Insight Division, South Africa, Regional Lead Inclusion and Diversity Kantar, Middle East and Africa, as the lead speaker.
He added that there is also a line-up of highly urbane and cerebral speakers who cut across various sectors of the global economy, who will be sharing valuable insights on how business leaders and professionals can further push the envelope to deliver on their business goals to boost growth.
These notable panelists include: Godfrey Adejumoh, a seasoned Public Relations practitioner and Head, Corporate Affairs and Sustainable Business, Unilever Nigeria; Ilyas Kazeem, Marketing Director, Food Commercial Division of Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN); Osarugue Awani, VP, Marketing and Strategist at Terragon Group; Bamigbaiye Elatuyi, a dynamic commercial and strategic Planning business leader, and Buki Osunkeye, an award-winning Chartered Marketer and Founder, Tech Leaders Network Africa.
