Lanre Adisa hosts two industry amazons on LAIF & DIRECT tomorrow
Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has announced that it will present Temitope Jemerigbe and Rita Ezenwa-Okoro on the next edition of LAIF & DIRECT via zoom on 26th May, 2021.
This was made known via the organiser’s Instagram page @thelaifawards. The post stated that the May edition will feature two female gladiators in the Integrated Marketing communication (IMC) industry, Tope Jemerigbe & Rita Ezenwa-Okoro.
The statement reads: “Another episode of LAIF & DIRECT is here again and for the first time; we get double of the best in the industry.”
“Join @lanreadisa as he hosts the industry power-houses @temitopejemerigbe and @ladyreo in yet another exciting episode of LAIF & DIRECT. Make it a date this Wednesday, 26th of May, 2021 from 3pm.”
Lanre Adisa, CEO of Noah’s Ark, is host of the event. The organisers are yet to disclose what the topic of the next edition of LAIF & DIRECT will be, but have encouraged participants to guess it with a view to giving prizes to the winning guess.
“Can you guess what the topic of this edition will be? You never know what you could win for guessing right or coming close.”
Lanre Adisa, host of the event, founded Noah’s Ark, one of West Africa’s leading independent agencies, in 2008. He started out in 1990 as a Trainee Copywriter at MC&A: Saatchi & Saatchi, Lagos. He was an Associate Creative Director at Insight-Grey till 2003 when he joined TBWA\Concept as CD. He left in 2008 as ECD to start Noah’s Ark. Noah’s Ark has evolved into a group of creative businesses which includes Integrated Indigo (PR), Underdog Productions (Content) and The RedWolf Company (Digital Creative). Lanre is actively involved in the Nigerian creative community with a special passion for inspiring and grooming the next generation. He was part of the pioneer team that started the Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF). He’s the current chairman of LAIF Management Board. He has been on the juries of festivals across and beyond the continent such as the Pitcher Awards, African Cristal Festival, Cristal MAD, Loeries and the Cannes Lions. He has also served as a mentor in the Loeries Students Portfolio Boot Camp.
Temitope Jemerigbe is the CEO, DKK & Associates Limited, a full-fledged Integrated Marketing Communication agency. In her career trajectory, she has evolved into an Amazon on the Nigerian Integrated Marketing Communications landscape having built a sterling career that has chalked up great records in all the agencies she worked, with outstanding performance at DKK, in particular. With well over 22 years’ experience from various top agencies in Nigeria, including STB McCann, ZK Advertising, Prima Garnet Africa and Dencil Limited, she is today, an icon and a leader with indelible footprints of recognition in the industry.
Rita Ezenwa-Okoro is the Founder of R.O.C Strategic Communications Ltd, a marketing communication platform that helps businesses develop and manage their day-to-day strategic communication needs. She is the Founder/Lead Visionary at Street Project Foundation, she is a Member Of The Board Of Advisors, Magicians Without Borders North America, South America, India where she provided strategic and technical guidance to the Executive Director and the Global Programs Director. She also worked as Business Coach (She Leads Africa Accelerator Program) SheLeadsAfrica.Org, she was the Senior Copywriter at Yellow Brick Road Nigeria, Group Head Copy at SO&U, Asst. Manager Copy at 141 Worldwide, Asst. Manager, Cpy at Prima Garnet Ogilvy, Research Officer at RTI International, Project Consultant on Voters’ Advocacy at Human Support Services where she facilitated community forum discussions on voters’ advocacy, monitored and evaluated projects executed. She is the architect behind talent discovery and development projects such as Project Raw, The Reflection Series and most recently, Creative Youth Boot Camp. Program Officer, she was also Speech Therapist & tutor for autistic children at Learning Interventions.
The LAIF Awards was instituted in 2006 with the aim of recognising, rewarding, and fostering creative excellence in all areas of marketing communications.
