Guinness Nigeria unveils Nengi as new brand ambassador
Guinness Nigeria, a subsidiary of Diageo Plc, has unveiled Ex BBNaija housemate, Nengi Rebecca Hampson, popularly called Nengi, as its new brand ambassador.
Making the announcement via its social media pages (Twitter & Instagram) with a short film showing Nengi holding the bottle of Guinness like a queen, Guinness welcomes the queen home.
“The queen is home; own it like a queen, no apology,” the tweet declared.
The tweet added: “Every queen deserves a premium brew. Cheers from a beer made of more. Welcome, Nengi!”
On her part, Nengi enthused on her social media page: “Every bold and audacious woman is a Queen. Every Queen is made of more. Thank you Guinness for making my dream come true.”
Recall that Guinness Nigeria named Prince who is also ex BBNaija housemate as its brand ambassador in November 2020, using the same style of short film to introduce him, referring to him as ‘Nwakaibeya’, meaning a child that is greater than his peers.
Guinness Nigeria, a subsidiary of Diageo Plc, was incorporated in 1962 with the building of a brewery in Ikeja, Lagos. The brewery was the first Guinness operation outside Ireland and Great Britain. Other breweries have been opened over time, including Benin City brewery in 1973 and Ogba brewery in 1963.
Guinness Nigeria produces the following beer brands: Foreign Extra Stout, Harp Lager Beer, Guinness Extra Smooth, Dubic Extra Lager, Smirnoff Ice, SNAPP, Orijin, and Malta Guinness among others.
