Fidelity Rewards Umuahia Customers with N2.3 million in Savings Promo
Mother luck came to the popular Isi Gate relief market in the heart of the capital city of Abia State on April 12, 2019. She smiled on six bank customers of Fidelity Bank Umuahia branch, who in turn smiled home with a total of N2.3 million among them.
The lucky customers were the winners in the get alert in millions Gaim Season 3, a long running promo in which the bank rewards its loyal customers who are holders of personal savings account or children’s savings account. As the names of winners were called out, the crowd erupted in joyous acknowledgement.
First on the winners’ list was Kasinma Karen Uzoma, a 10 year old primary four pupil of Gleaming Moon School. She won N150,000 in the children’s saving account category. Another child, Chiamaka Ndubuisi, an eight year old primary four pupil of Margaret Schools also collected N150,000 cheque.
In the personal savings account category, the winners were rewarded with N500,000 each. They include Emmanuel Kingsley Chibuisi, Emmanuel Echeta, Innocent Chimezie Ugwueje, and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Umuahia North branch.
Chibuisi said that he felt “it was a dream” the day he was invited to Fidelity Bank and informed he had emerged winner in the promo.
“This is for real,” he declared as he danced at the presentation ceremony, waving the N500,000 given to him. Chairman of PFN, Umuahia North, Apostle Ben Nwankwo, profusely thanked Fidelity for keeping its promise to reward its customers.
Mr. Ndubuisi, father of Chiamaka said that his daughter’s win came to him as a surprise. He told THISDAY that he merely opened the savings account for his child to make it easier for him to pay her school fees in case he was short of money. He therefore thanked Fidelity for adding to his daughter’s fortune.
The branch manager of Fidelity Bank Umuahia, Perpetua Ezuma, said that the presentation of cheques to the winners from Umuahia was a proof “that what we do is for real”.
She said similar presentation ceremonies had been held at Aba, Owerri and other places and it was the turn of the residents of the capital city of God’s own state to join the beneficiaries of the savings loyalty scheme.
Ezuma said the monetary rewards given to the winners could “make them go far” in their endeavours and such money could be put into business or education with the prospect of reaping bountiful dividends in future.
