The Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN), is set to launch an initiative tagged:”Somewhere in naija”. The initiative is aimed at showcasing new talents across the country.
President of the association, Mr. Kehinde Salami, said the initiative would enable EXMAN to show Nigerians and the world at large as new talents are been discovered on a daily bases.
Salami who also doubles as the Managing Director of Ideas House Limited said this during an interview session in his office at Magodo, Lagos.
He stressed that a dedicated portal that would allow people see videos of the new talents had been developed for the world to see the great potentials inherent in Nigeria.
In his words: “We have a committee called the Special Project committee. I have tasked them with the responsibility of coming out with what I call an initiative tagged: ‘Somewhere in naija’.
“That somewhere in naija” is simply this, as experiential agencies we go up and down the entire country. We are the ones that discover talents first, be it, this person can rap, this one can sing, this person can dance and so on.”
“Every day, we discover new talents across this country, young boys and girls, but there is no platform on which they can be showcased. the portal will allow you to see videos of them, and will allow you to even get engaged with them.”
According to him, the “Somewhere in naija” initiative is part of the Association’s Corporal Social Responsibility progarmmes.
“For us,’ somewhere in naija’ is like a CSR target initiative. We have developed the portal and we hope to launch it before our first year in office.” Salami stressed.
