DDB Lagos' Amadi-Obi Redeployed to Head BBDO West Africa

After a long wait, the management of Casers Group has finally named Mr. Igbo Amadi-Obi as the next Managing Director of BBDO West Africa.

His appointment comes about five months after Demola Olusunmade, former MD of the high flying agency quit the plum job to set up a new advertising agency, Red Uhuru Concept in Ikeja. Before his present appointment Amadi-Obi was an Executive Director at DDB Lagos.

His appointment will see him spearhead the enhancement of the capabilities of BBDO West Africa and its staff as well as the expansion of the company’s client base, growth in revenues and further improve its marketing reputation.

Amadi-Obi is an accomplished adman and one of the versatile, skilled and experienced advertising professionals in the industry. His appointment comes at a time when competition in the marketing communication industry is intense following shrinking marketing budgets on the side of clients in a bid to survive the uncertainties of an economic downturn.

BBDO West Africa is a second line advertising agency on the stables of Casers Group. It is one of the top agencies in Nigeria and has a rich brand portfolio that includes Snickers, Republic, Visa, Evans and Novartis.
