Consumers in Nigeria have been urged to seek rewards for their patronage and brand loyalty by participating in The Prize is Right, a popular TV game show.

This advice was given recently in Lagos during the official presentation of prizes to various game winners who, in their own ways, have shown loyalty to different brands by regularly patronizing them.

While speaking at the event, Mr. Yinka Adebayo, Group Executive Director of Omnicom Media Group, revealed that consumers have much to gain from their loyalty to brands and encouraged them not to limit themselves only to the value they receive for their money.

According to him, many people did not initially believe the genuity of the show but with the prize presentation, they now have a rethink.

Expressing her joy, one of the prize winners, Jessica John, noted that she was surprised and overwhelmed to be a lucky winner, as she had tried several times to participate and win the prize. She confirmed that the initiative is genuine and encouraged consumers to participate in the show.

Similarly, Kokolio Essian, another participant who won a cash prize of 1.1 million naira, said she didn’t take the game seriously when she applied and received an invitation to participate. She mentioned that she was initially motivated by the 2,000 naira and the snacks typically given to audience members after each show.

Several participants of the show went home with various mouthwatering prizes, including a smart TV, generator, refrigerator, blender, smartphones, air conditioner, and more.

Speaking about the show, Ademola Oladosu, Director Media Sales at Genesis Studios said the prize redemption event will certainly clear the doubts being expressed by some people who think that the game is staged especially given the level of trust deficit in the country.

According to him, “People don’t believe when they see prize winners on the screen and that’s why we decided to make it real. Today, different consumers who emerged winners are here to claim their prizes.”

While highlighting the significance of the show, the executive producer, Olatubosun David Olaegbe stated that the overall object is to put smiles on the faces of consumers.

Produced by Genesis Studio, The prize is Right is the longest running game show in the world that has been in existence since 1956. Through the game show, consumers can win any commodity items.

It is a platform that offers product owners the opportunity to showcase their brands and gain visibility, while at the same time giving consumers the chance to be rewarded for their patronage and loyalty.

During the presentation of prizes, it was confirmed that forty people emerged as winners across the episodes, and they were present at the prize presentation event to redeem their gifts.
