Biodun Shobanjo To Speak At Konga Summit
After a couple of postponements, all is now set for the 2015 Sellers’ Summit, slated for October 17, 2015 at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos. The event which will afford owners of small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria a platform to facilitate the growth of their businesses will have Mr. Biodun Shobanjo, Chairman of Troyka as one of its speakers.
Konga’s Head of PR & Brand Management, Olatomiwa Akande, revealed that that the 2015 Seller Summit tagged, ‘The New Marketplace: Tapping into the Ecosystem’, will provide a platform for SME owners to learn business growth strategies. They would also have the unique chance to network and share ideas on tapping into the country’s growing e-commerce ecosystem.
“The Sellers’ Summit is set to be Nigeria’s biggest entrepreneur summit in recent times; with a lineup of presentations and panel discussions by top acclaimed speakers and experts from different relevant business fields. Sessions at the summit would deal with essential business topics including brand management, customer service, logistics, financing, entrepreneurship and more”.
According to Oluwatomiwa some of the speakers and panelists expected at the summit include Sim Shagaya, CEO, Konga; Shobanjo,Juliet Ehimuan, Country Manager Google Nigeria; Ebi Atawodi, General Manager Uber Lagos; and Steve Babaeko, Chief Executive Officer of X3M Ideas.
Others are Erica Ayenuro, Managing Director of CCSP Nigeria; Kabir Shagaya, CEO, Zippy Logistics; Mohamed Fouani, Managing Director, Fouani Nigeria Limited (LG); Randy Buday, MD Anglophone Africa, DHL; Eghosa Omoigui, Founder/Managing General Partner of EchoVC Partners; and Opeyemi Awoyemi, Co-Founder of Jobberman.
She explained that the summit, which is open to current sellers on Konga’s marketplace as well as other current or prospective business owners, is in furtherance of Konga’s vision of being ‘the Engine of Trade and Commerce in Africa’.
“Any entrepreneur in Nigeria’s fast evolving trade environment must constantly adapt his or her business strategies and channels to the current business realities to ensure his or her businesses stay relevant in market and to enjoy continued business growth,” Akande concluded.
She called on interested small and medium scale entrepreneurs to avail themselves of this opportunity and register for the summit.
