NIPR holds memorial lecture
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) will on Thursday, February 11th hold its annual Sam Epelle Memorial Gold Paper lecture at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
The theme of this year’s lecture is ‘Effective communication as a change agent in repositioning Nigeria’s global image’.
The event is free and open to all members of the institute.
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations was formerly known as the Public Relations Association of Nigeria until it was renamed in 1972. However, the body was established in 1963 under the law but become chartered under Decree 16 of 1990.
The body has the power to register members, regulate the practice and development of PR profession and monitor professional conducts.
The institute conducts professional certificate and diploma examinations every year to produce professional in PR. They also offer in-house trainings, media management.
The institute has study centres in Abuja, Abeokuta, Bauchi, Enugu, Port-Harcourt and Lagos.
