OAAN AGM underway with Lolu Akinwunmi as guest speaker

The Out-of-Home Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) is gearing up for its highly anticipated Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to take place in Ibadan on Friday 16 August, 2024, at De Signature Towers, Ibadan,Oyo State.
Sola Akinsiku, the president of the association, revealed this while briefing newsmen at OAAN’s Secretariat in Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos.
The president said the theme, “Navigating the Challenges of Outdoor Advertising in Nigeria,” was inspired by the need to adapt to changing economic conditions, technological advancements, and shifting consumer behaviors in the marketing ecosystem.
The accomplished brand building expert also disclosed that Lolu Akinwunmi, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Prima Garnet Africa, a veteran practitioner with vast experience in the industry will be dissecting the theme as the guest speaker.
He explained that Akinwunmi’s presence and insights are expected to bring immense benefits and value to the association, helping members redefine their focus and strategies to drive further growth in all areas of their engagements, ensuring they remain relevant, competitive and ahead of the curve.
The OAAN leader emphasized the importance of the AGM, stating that the association aims to regularly review and examine the Out-of-Home media ecosystem to ensure its relevance, share common goals, responsiveness, and respect among stakeholders.
He highlighted OAAN’s significant contribution to economic growth, her efforts at providing direct and indirect employment opportunities for members and non-members alike.
The OOH marketing expert confirmed that the association has achieved notable milestones in the past year, including increased membership engagement, capacity building initiatives, and advocacy efforts.
Members present at the media briefing include the Vice President, OmoKingsley Abunene, Churchill Nwagwu, the General Secretary; Babs Fagade, Publicity Secretary, Chiddy Ibiam, General Manager, George Onwujiariri; Welfare officer and several other members.
