P&G elects Biggs as board member

Procter & Gamble has elected Brett Biggs, former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Walmart, Inc. as a member of its Board. Announcing this on its LinkedIn handle, P&G said the new Board member brings significant insight from his experience.
The FMCG company announced that Bret, having garnered some remarkable experience as a business leader, has been instrumental to the growth of several segments across leading brands.
Jon Moeller, P&G’s Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer, explained that the council industry icon whose industry pedigree has distinguished him out among others, brings to P&G significant insight from his experience with a major multinational retailer and expertise related to public company financial matters, including accounting and financial reporting, tax, treasury, and capital strategy.
“His experience will lend critical perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing multinational companies. His digital and corporate governance insights, having served as a key leader during Walmart’s transition from traditional brick and mortar to broader omnichannel retail operations, are also important. We’re delighted to welcome him to the P&G Board.
“His professional expertise and impressive performance over the years has stood him out as an attestation of his long-standing leadership quality,” he said.
