Omemu urges Nigerian agencies to embrace Loeries Awards
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Black Sea Limited, Mr. Clement Omemu has urged Nigerian Advertising Agencies to embrace the forth coming Loeries Awards which is expected to take place between 14-20 August 2017 at Durban, South Africa.
Omemu said the award is an opportunity for Nigerian creative minds and agencies to showcase their talents and rub minds with global creative community.
He stressed that Nigerian creative agencies has what it takes to compete with the rest of the world, adding that the global community is constantly looking to reward global ideas that influence humanity in every field of endeavour.
According to him, “Most of our agencies here have come of age. Their ideas are global with a true cultural relevance. Last year, one of Nigeria’s leading agencies entered into certain categories and came away with silver and 2 bronze medals. I fancy that if some others have entered there could have been more for Nigeria”.
“What I want to really say to the creative community in Nigeria is that we should be bold to showcase our work for the world to see and, also attend the week-long event. Winning may not be automatic, but valuable lessons from the week-long event is something to die for. For me networking is key and instrumental to building a global community that sips creative juice off each other” he added.
Omemu further stressed that Black Sea Limited is going to enter for medal for this year’s Loeries award just as he called on other bigger creative agencies in the country to partake in the forth coming award in Durban, South Africa.
