Wakanow to launch commercial operations in UK by march
Wakanow, one of the fastest growing online travel companies in Nigeria is set to formerly launch its commercial operations in the United Kingdom (UK) by March 2017.
Founder and Managing Director of Wakanow, Mr. Obinna Ekezie, said the company will make its debut in Surrey, London. He added that the firm will be showcasing a cutting-edge booking portal that will offer flights and hotel bookings, transfers and Protocol services for intra-Europe travel as well as for outbound travel into Africa.
Ekezie said its new addition demonstrates its capacity to compete favourably on the global stage as it will allow it serve the European market better.
He pointed that a good number of bookings on the Wakanow Nigeria booking portal, were coming from the UK and other countries outside of Nigeria and it was therefore a natural progression for the company to cater for this market.

We will leverage our vast knowledge of the African space and its wealth of untapped destinations to create exclusive travel products that offer fresh and incredible experiences for our customers”
The Wakanow UK launch will herald the opening of several other Wakanow offices across Africa, with Wakanow Kenya and Wakanow South Africa already under way. Riding on the back of advanced technology, Wakanow will “switch on” its online booking portals in six other African countries including Uganda, Rwanda, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Tanzania. Other countries include Dubai and the U.S.
