Total Supports Campaign Against Malaria

Total Nigeria Plc, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, has supported the campaign to eradicate malaria in Ogun State.

The company recently offered free rapid diagnostic malaria testing to residents of Abeokuta and also joined the Ogun State government in the malaria enlightenment walk led by the wife of the Ogun State’s governor, Mrs. Olufunsho Amosun, to mark the World Malaria Day in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Other people that took part in the enlightenment walk included the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Babatunde Ipaye, the management of Total Nigeria Plc and staff of Ogun State Ministry of Health.

Members of management of the company and other staff offered free rapid diagnostic malaria testing to residents of Abeokuta, Ogun State, to ascertain their medical status.

According to the management of Total Nigeria Plc, most of the health workers in the state were trained on how to cure the disease through administering appropriate treatment to persons suffering from the disease.

Total Nigeria Plc’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Mr. Albert Mabuyaku, said that the company embarked on the initiative to ensure that the Roll Back Malaria campaign was fully executed with the aim of eradicating the disease from the state.
